Sugandha Tyagi

Delhi-based self-taught artist and founder of design studio Shoes Your Daddy, Sugandha Tyagi takes blank pairs of sneakers and transforms them into eccentric pieces of art. At first glance, Tyagi’s works may appear digitally printed, but upon closer look, they reveal the finesse of an artist. Through vivid-hued art coupled with high-quality finishing that lasts for years  - signature features of Tyagi’s work- she has amassed a significant following ranging from sneaker enthusiasts to prominent figures including Ranveer Singh. Her works draw inspiration from pop culture themes, animated characters, and the vibrant art seen on Indian trucks. A name frequently featured among top sneaker artists of India, Sugandha began her career in advertising in 2012 and soon noticed a gap in the market for footwear that is an extension of one’s personality. A passion born out of the necessity to wear comfy yet funky shoes to work, Sugandha incepted Shoes Your Daddy after garnering interest amongst people at flea markets and events. Since then, the artist has customised several pairs of sneakers including coveted pieces from Nike Airforce 1 to Yeezy, earning her features in well-known publications including Vogue India and Elle. Tyagi has collaborated with coveted designer Manish Arora and curated workshops for entities like Meta, Instagram, and  Adidas. One of the few artists in India reimaging footwear for the mainstream, a category seldom explored in India, Sugandha’s art is turning custom sneakers into the newest wardrobe treasures.
