Chamar shines the spotlight on the fine craftsmanship of Indian karigars (artisans) weaving magic -  one bag at a time. The store takes you on a journey of handcrafted bags, with artisanal tools displayed proudly as a part of its interior, providing the perfect opportunity to interact with each piece crafted with utmost precision. Sudheer Rajbhar founded the brand in 2017 to reclaim the word ‘Chamar’ - which has been used as a slur for the Dalit community - and turn it into a celebration of their craft. An artist himself, Sudheer collaborates with the craftsmen to create one-of-a-kind designs that showcase the intricate work that goes into making each piece.
