Inside AnanTaya’s Jaipur space, craft and contemporary design are presented with clarity and purpose. The studio-store reflects co-founder Ayush Kasliwal’s practice, where traditional techniques are translated into functional objects rather than treated as artefacts.

The layout is open and direct. Furniture, lighting, and smaller objects are arranged to encourage movement and close viewing, with minimal separation between display and making. Materials such as wood, metal, and leather are foregrounded, keeping process visible within the space.

Across the collection, material choice plays a defining role. Repurposed elements appear in several pieces, positioning sustainability as a practical design decision rather than a statement. The objects are robust and usable, designed to sit comfortably in everyday settings.

Collaboration underpins the studio’s approach. AnanTaya works with artisan communities across India through both short-term projects and long-term partnerships, treating craft practitioners as contributors to the design process. This allows traditional techniques to adapt without being diluted.

Within Jaipur’s design landscape, AnanTaya offers a measured perspective on craft. The space frames making as an ongoing practice shaped by material, collaboration, and use.
