If you watch an episode of Friends, especially one that’s from the later seasons, you’ll discover that the wardrobes of its female leads still feel very relevant. Whether it’s Monica Geller’s tie-front tops or Rachel Green’s cargo trousers, several trends that were popular in the past are doing the rounds in recent times. The styles that defined the early aughts–frequently referred to as Y2K-inspired fashion by the cool kids–staged a comeback during the COVID-19 pandemic because they provided a sense of nostalgia and comfort.
