Aniruddh Mehta is an artist who dabbles across multiple disciplines as a graphic designer, visual artist, and art director. The brains behind the popular Studio BigFat, a Mumbai-based independent multidisciplinary design studio Aniruddh started his journey with a chronological introduction to design–from wading through works on artists and art critics to learning the meticulous approaches to lateral thinking, etc. And just like his alias, The big fat minimalist, Aniruddh's principles prioritize the essential, exactly furnishing what the user wants. Each of his designs is a unique balance of clean, geometric lines or crisp kaleidoscopic patterns that sit at the forefront of several recognized projects today. Such as his collaboration with Architectural Digest India in 2021 to redesign the interior fabric of the local Mumbai rickshaws or the mural for Facebook headquarters in India. Apart from this, some works to his credit are renowned brands like Adidas, Puma, Redbull, and Netflix hit series–The Sacred Games and niche artisanal brands like Subko, Bombay Duck Brewing, etc. Although an expert in his field, with each project, Aniruddh is constantly learning new skill sets and practices to provide a platform that merges the principles of design and art.
