Minolae Jain
The dynamic art director who is turning her dreams into a ‘reel’ity
Minolae Jain, the Assistant Art Director of the ABC sitcom series, Home Economics, has always been close to the cinematic splendor of movies. At the creative junction of her life, Minolae has worked on an array of short films like ‘Becoming Eddie’ that has been nominated for film festivals across the globe, as well as for series like McMillions, Unprisoned, and Netflix, and YouTube kid’s show Blippi, etc. Minolae found her calling on the sets of her high school play, an adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, where her life took a pivotal turn. Her love for films is deeply rooted in the essence of family bonding over lazy afternoon movie sessions, which taught her the associative power of cinema across generations. Growing up in India, Minolae combines the aspects of her inherent diverse and multicultural country with her academic education abroad to maneuver her career. She says, "The one thing that sets me apart is growing up in a diverse and multicultural country that is currently a melting pot between tradition and globalization." One of the youngest students in her class—the Bengaluru-born American Film Institute graduate—moved across the world to master the dynamics of production design. Minolae considers herself a product of content from the Indian Film Industry and Hollywood.
