In Goa, just a few kilometers into the Siolim village, are densely forested lanes punctuated by beautiful colonial houses. Amongst these lanes, renowned Goa-based designer, Savio Jon has turned his beautiful home into a classic boutique—280 Siolim. In a welcoming space roofed with gable tiles that quietly house textured white walls and well-lit interiors, 280 Siolim is marinated in a treasure trove collected and curated over the course of many years– by Savio himself. On wooden shelves and marble tops sit unique vintage finds such as artifacts, textiles, fashion accessories, home decor items, and many more. They substitute as memorabilia and have at some point played as mood boards and inspirations for Jon’s previous collections and works. Several other treasured items are sheltered within cloche glasses insinuating an exclusive atmosphere. Within 280 Siolim’s setup humbled by vintage grey terrazzo floorings, Savio’s own limited edition of comfort clothing finds its spotlight. Together they capture the tranquility of Goa and take the visitors on a journey outside the hemispheres of its vibrant nightlife and bustling shacks.
